Kale, kale, the Gang's all Here...

I couldn't get over the beautiful display of kale at Towne Centre today. The mirror in the dressing room at TJMaxx was a stark reminder that vegetables will be a major part of my 2010. Alameda has a Farmer's Market on Haight and 6th near Webster each Saturday and Tuesday. You will see me there....

I wish everyone the very best in 2010! Happy New Year.

Have you found this One?

You almost have to be walking to catch this "over the top" decorated home. Snowmen cover the roof and left side. Palm trees surrounded by candy canes. A major hint is in the photo. If you drive, it's gone in a wink of your eye.

Old Town Alameda (Theater)

For a photo opportunity this holiday time, take a walk over to the Alameda Theater to see a setting right out of a Dickens novel. The table is set, the snow is flurrying and street music fills the air. Inside Santa is ready to welcome guests for a secret request or a photo in his sled.

This happy family has taken the time to stop and admire the beautiful surroundings and friendly ambiance inside the entrance.

Near Union Square

We walked up Montgomery toward Union Square today for some holiday cheer. We found festive holiday displays at Gumps, Nieman Marcus, and Macy's. The most gorgeous windows for me were outside Shreve & Co. where a master craftsman had designed Opera Showcase windows, featuring just one piece of jewelry each.

At the ice rink on Union Square we heard the strains of bagpipe and followed the sound to the St. Francis where this lone piper was carolling.

Pink Frosted Christmas

Thompson Street Christmas Tree Lane was bustling this evening with walkers and touring cars. This pink frosted treasure house stood out, a definite complete home makeover for the holidays. Maybe it's just me, but things seem to be looking UP these days. My holiday wish is for all that need a job to find one, and for all who need a place to find it, and for all who may be ill to regain their health.
