The Lure of Motown

Last evening while sitting in our yard, the music started over at Towne Centre and it was distinctively Motown.  I put down my crochet (age showing) and headed over there to hear more.  The sun had finally arrived at the end of the day and the crowd gathered near the frog pond.   The Alameda Education Foundation were collecting school supplies while people enjoyed the Wade Love Band.

Children danced through the aisles and everyone enjoyed the rhythms of this local group.   Later last night another group was performing at Borders books as well.   I intend to attend more of the Thursday and Saturday night concerts at 5:30 at the center this year!
