"Plunk your Magic Twanger, Froggie!

In my travels these past few weeks, I've encountered various frogs notably in public art.  Some may find frogs cute and worthy of display but I prefer they stay hidden in marshes and swamps.  My early childhood memories of the Buster Brown Show and Froggie the Gremlin might be a major influence.

Notice the scary inhabitants of the main feature at Towne Centre.    Have the upright frogs murdered their brassier ed counterpart with the sharp sticks they carry?    Frog mayhem seems to draw it's fans, though, including many children each day!

On our recent trip to Oregon, the State Capitol grounds featured a homage to the children of Oregon with small animals including a frog on stilts.

And finally, returning to the ferry from a sightseeing trip we encountered an enchanting group of frogs frolicking in a water feature.

This seems more like frog essence.

  1. My mom used to collect frogs. She used the theme of The Princess and the Frog when she married my stepfather. After she died, I got a bunch of her frogs. I like frogs now. They remind me of her.

  2. Good to hear from you, Simone. Do you collect any creatures? I used to collect dolphins...
