Where am I?

Decided to do some "long views" of Alameda for a while as I am hoping to show larger scale features of Alameda to anyone visiting this blog from out of town.  There are so many different types of vista here that make Alameda the interesting and varied place that made me love it from day one back in the mid-seventies when we moved here from Los Angeles and before that, Chicago.

I've decided to stand in one place and take shots in 3 or four directions so you may try to guess just where I am.  Yes, shot three is a dead giveaway.

  1. I'm proud to say that I guessed from shot 1! I often walk down Oak rather than Park when I'm walking out to the shopping center, just for a change of pace, and so I tend to come around that back path by the lagoon when I do that.

  2. Hi Mom, I know I know! But I'll let someone who isn't from Alameda answer this one.

  3. Yes, Bryan, I love that view of the lagoon. Ever see the cormorants drying their wings on the branch of the eucalyptus which stretches out over the water? Very creepy...

    Hey, Sharon, thanks.
