Gotcha!

Regal, isn't he?   This proud, self-satisfied Great Snowy Egret was seen teetering on our fence.   I knew immediately what had happened.   He or she ate every goldfish in our backyard pond....except one!   

First Tulip

While walking down Oak Street last week, I spied the first tulip of the season.  I've always loved the "tulip tree", really a type of magnolia.   It graces the winter season prior to the camelia and rhododendron of March.  A January beginning to year round beauty!
