 Irene's Eye Level

Dog's Eye Level

What would a Wednesday be in central Alameda without the garbage collection trucks yanking our containers up overhead and pouring our refuse inside.   We are so fortunate in Alameda to have excellent recycling.  I've been to other parts of the country and see that they are nowhere near us in this respect.   If we do it right, our grey barrels should contain little except those dratted plastic bags,  cellophane and that hard plastic stuff.  Let's figure out how we can recycle dog doo and baby diapers next!
I also saw an amazing thing.   A man, obviously not a city worker was filling in holes in the lawn at our local park with sod.

In keeping with today's conservation theme, this homeowner is cutting back on water by planting a metal tree and friendly person in front.   Don't you just love it?

I must admit that when I make a choice in favor of creativity, all things manage to come together.  Yesterday, I went to the center and found a leash for Rudy which is working beautifully.   He stayed right by my side today.  Strolling with him today was a pleasure for both of us.
